This year 4-5  seventh graders and a few teacher chaperones will be going to Japan. Their trip will be from June 16-23,2002. Each student will need to have a passport and pay $500.00 for airfare, the town of Toyooka will pay the rest. The Martinez School Board has approved this trip.

 
    If you are interested in going there are some requirements you will need to complete.

• an essay:
                Last year the topic was "If I were King/Queen,"but this year's topic is still to be announced. They are graded for creativity, mechanics.
• grades higher than 3.5 average(all year)
• all positive citizenship grades
• no LOP ever
• parental commitment
• an interview(if you pass everything else)
• teacher recomendation(form looks like this):
