Japanese Yen

You will be using paper money and coins. To easily keep track of how much money you are spending, convert the yen to dollars, by moving the yen's decimal over 2 numbers, to the left. This will be a very rough estimtion of what you are spending in American dollars, but it is easy to do in your mind and it will keep you from spending more money than you had expected.

	1yen (¥) is worth about 1¢ or less.
	10¥ is worth about  7¢ to10¢ .
	50¥  is worth about 40¢ to 50¢ .
	100¥  is worth about .70¢ to $1.00 in American dollars.
	500¥  is worth about $3.00 to $5.00 in American dollars.
	5¥ is worth about 3¢ to 5¢ in American dollars.

	1000¥ is worth about $6.00 to $10.00 in American dollars.
	5000¥ is worth about $30.00 to $50.00 in American dollars.
	10000¥ is worth about $60.00 to $100.00 in American dollars.
